The Norfolk Hotel has played a leading role in Kenya's colourful history, and continues to be Nairobi's finest and best-known luxury hotel. The town and later the modern city of Nairobi grew up around Fairmont the Norfolk hotel, which still has its own private tropical gardens. The hotel is still the traditional starting point for safaris and the Lord Delamere Terrace is modern Nairobi's most famous meeting place, where drinks and light meals are served continuously from morning until midnight. The Nairobi hotel now offers accommodations in 165 guest rooms and suites, has eight conference rooms, the largest seating 175 delegates, a heated outdoor swimming pool, health club with gym, sauna and steam room, beauty salon, bookshop and gift shops.

Dinner and overnight at Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club.
After breakfast at Mt. Kenya Safari Club, depart for Nakuru via Thompson's falls the beautiful waterfall and head to Lake Nakuru National Park with enroute views of Lake Elementaita before arriving at your destination. The waters here are often coloured sparkling flamingo pink, from thousands of the attractive birds lining its shores. The park is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and the occasional leopard.
White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago and you will find white rhino at the southern end. The park has also retained its reputation as an ornithologists’ delight with more than 400 species of bird found here. Once in the park, there will be a game drive en route to the lodge. On arrival relax and rest at the lodge.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the Lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park.
Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is cleverly laid out such that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the Lake and the Park. The Lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways and greens dotted with bird feeds. The Lodge is a natural haven for bird life and attracts over 50 species of birds amongst the 400 species that inhabit the Park.
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast. Depart after breakfast for Naivasha to arrive in time for lunch. Check-in and relax followed by lunch thereafter.
Here at Naivasha you have the option of either relaxing at the resort or going for a game drive at Hells Gate National Park or boat rides.
Dinner and overnight at Lk. Naivasha Sopa Resort.
Depart from Naivasha after breakfast and drive south via Narok to the Mara reserve, you will have a game drive en route to the luxurious tented camp upon arrival in the Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch. The rest of the afternoons at leisure and early in the evening embark on a game drive to get a closer look at the Mara.
Masai Mara has incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers. Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common.
The ultimate action here is, without doubt, the annual wildebeest exodus in July and August when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of lusher grass before turning south again in October.
Dinner and overnight at Fairmont Mara Safari Club.
Fairmont Mara Safari Club lies in the north-west of the Maasai Mara, at the foot of the Aitong Hills in the Ol-Choro Oiroua Conservation Area that borders the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The camp is positioned on an ox-bow of the Mara River so that all en-suite tents have a view of the hippo-filled river. The lodge is surrounded by well-cultivated gardens dotted with indigenous trees. The main lodge at the centre of camp hosts an indoor restaurant, bar and library with Internet access to keep the relatives up to date with safari adventures. A spacious outside deck overhangs the river and leads to a heated pool, complete with bar and private massage tents.
With four-poster, pillow-top beds and a veranda overlooking the hippo and crocodile-filled river, each of the 50 tents at Fairmont Mara Safari Club is superbly furnished with its own private, three- piece bathroom, including a number of “outdoor showers” in select tents. The larger-sized accommodations also feature expanded decks which allow for private dining, a new service.
Guests can choose from a wide range of activities at Fairmont Mara Safari Club, including game drives and balloon safaris over the Mara plains capped with a champagne breakfast on the savannah or a stroll in the footprints of the hippo-trodden path escorted by a Masai Moran.
The main lodge at the centre of camp hosts an indoor restaurant, bar and library. Outdoor dining will be enhanced with the creation of a boma, a structure influenced by traditional homesteads, where guests can enjoy a cultural dinner reflecting not only African cuisine but also rich musical accompaniment.
Leave for a last early morning game drive that promises to be thrilling. Return to the camp for breakfast. After breakfast drive back to Nairobi arriving in time to either transfer to the airport for your international flight or your hotel.
